About Us
The Struggle was Real!
It all started with a 1967 Piper Cherokee Six 300 and a well-intentioned Excel spreadsheet. I thought, “Hey, I’ll just track all my aircraft maintenance, ADs, squawks, pilot logs, and compliance deadlines in a few neat columns—how hard could it be?”
Well, let’s just say Excel never sent me a notification when my 8-year part was 10 years old. It also didn’t stop me from flipping through dog-eared logbooks, trying to remember if I actually changed the oil or just thought about it really hard.
Somewhere between my 17th version of “Aircraft_Maintenance_Final_v3_REAL_Final.xlsx” and the realization that I had no idea whether my ADs were actually in compliance, it hit me—
There had to be a better way.
So, I did what any rational pilot would do. I decided to do it myself.............. And quickly realized that I didn't have a clue what I was doing!
So, I found a a ridiculously talented developer who took my mountain of crazy ideas and turned them into an actual, working product. It didn’t take long to realize that he wasn’t just coding—he was building something game-changing. He is a REAL GENIUS! So, I did what any good entrepreneur would do: I made him a co-owner. Together, we've spent countless hours, months of frustration, and an unreasonable amount of caffeine and $money$ building a system that actually does what pilots, mechanics, and owners need:
✔ Keeps everything in one place
✔ Tells you what’s due before it’s overdue
✔ Tracks every flight, every squawk, every inspection
✔ Actually works without requiring an engineering degree
And thus, AirLogbooks was born.
Our mission is simple: Spend more time flying, and less time complying.
Because keeping a pristine aircraft logbook shouldn’t feel like doing your taxes.
So whether you’re a pilot, a maintainer, or an owner who just doesn’t want to get blindsided by an expired part (again), a recurring AD, or simply wants to know if their aircraft and/or their FAA Medical are current—welcome to AirLogbooks.
I built this because I needed it. And if you’ve ever found yourself drowning in paperwork, mystery ADs, and maintenance schedules written in ancient hieroglyphics… you probably need it too.
If you have any questions, concerns, or you just want to swap "There I was... out of airspeed and ideas...." stories, drop me a line at troy@airlogbooks.com or call or text me - (817) 300-6387. If you ever fly into KXBP, give me a shout!
✈️ Fly smart. Maintain easy. Comply with confidence.
